Our History

Our first lunch was held at the Kent Hotel in Beaumont Street, Hamilton,  and attended by about eight guys, and it has grown to numbers in excess of 50 at times and was followed by afternoon tea/coffee back at my home in Islington, less than 15 minutes walk from the Kent. Although the Kent is not itself a gay hotel, it is discreetly gay friendly. 

That first lunch, was such a great success, and it was decided to hold it again the following month.

And that’s how it all began. . . . . .

The group has met every month ever since, and has, like Topsy, simply grown bigger and bigger! (The biggest group so far was SEVENTY !)
